Are you looking for a heel
pain remedy so you
can enjoy your normal activities
again?
Heel pain can be noted as pain in
heel of foot and pain behind the
heel. Before you choose a heel pain
remedy you need to seek the advice
of your medical doctor.
If the pain is under your heel
you may have a condition called
Plantar Fascitis (Plantar
Fasciitis). Plantar Fascitis is an
overuse injury affecting the sole or
flexor surface (plantar) of the
foot. Plantar Fascitis means you
have inflamed the tough, fibrous
band of tissue (fascia) connecting
your heel bone to the base of your
toes.
The heel pain remedy for plantar
fascitis is rest, stretching
exercises, ice 20 minutes three to
four times a day and possible
plantar fascitis night splint. You
should try not to put any weight on
your foot until the inflammation
goes away.
Also by applying ice to the sore
area for 20 minutes three to four
times a day can help relieve your
symptoms. Your doctor may prescribe
nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
medication such as ibuprofen and put
you on a home exercise program to
stretch your Achilles tendon and
plantar fascia to help treat your
condition and lessen the chance of
recurrence.

If you are suffering from
heel pain from disorders
such as plantar fasciitis,
heel spurs, calcaneal
bursitis and arch pain, you
will appreciate the
HTP
Heel Seat™.
These heel seats feature a
"Fasciitis Bar" that applies
acupressure directly beneath
the part of the foot where
the heel meets the arch of
the foot. This patented
feature re-stretches the
plantar fascia and
redistributes your heel's
natural fat pad while
providing support to prevent
collapse of the mid-foot and
won't interfere with the fit
of your shoe.Order by

Severe heel pain could also be
caused by a heel spur. This
condition can occur when plantar
fascitis continues for a long time.
A heel spur, which is a calcium
deposit, may form where the fascia
tissue band connects to your heel
bone. X-rays may be taken to see the
bony protrusion, which can vary in
size.
The heel pain remedy for heel
spurs is usually the same as for
plantar fascitis: rest until the
pain subsides, stretching exercises
and wear a heel pad insert.
Bruising the fat pad on the
underside of your heel is another
cause for pain in heel. Stepping on
a hard object such as a rock or
stone you can bruise the fat pad.
The pain will go away gradually with
rest.
Pain behind the heel is caused by
the inflamed area where the Achilles
tendon inserts in the heel bone.
This is often caused by people
running too much or wearing shoes
that rub or cut into the back of the
heel. This type of pain may develop
slowly over time, causing the skin
to thicken, swell and get red. Also
you might develop a bump on the back
of your heel that feels tender and
warm to touch.
Heel pain remedy
can include resting from daily
activities that caused the problem,
icing the injured area, doing
plantar fascitis stretching
exercises, pain medication and
wearing open back shoes.
Using the hand
closest to the doorway, lightly
grasp the doorway frame to steady
yourself. Begin by positioning one
of your feet so that the ball of
that foot is firmly against a wall;
then slowly press the heel of that
foot into the ground. Then slowly
begin to apply pressure by pulling
your weight towards the wall, by
keeping your back foot flat to the
floor, then repeat with other foot
for 20 repetitive stretches. Be sure
to take the time to do this stretch
slowly to allow for the stretch to
work.
It is recommended
that you continue the stretches on a
daily basis along with the
recommended stretches of the calf
muscle in order to begin to deal
with your heel pain. Once your heel
pain is resolved then you can slowly
resume your normal workout
exercises. To avoid re-injury be
sure to stretch before any activity
and never exercise through your
pain.
Exercise for
heel pain can be helpful to
eliminate pain in the heel. By doing
these exercises daily you should see
a decrease in your heel pain
symptoms.
